Platforms such as Salesforce have changed the way businesses work. One nifty little feature that Salesforce developers are working on is their Chatter platform. Not recognized as a leading corporate social network, I personally see Chatter as somewhat of an experiment where you can follow people, start conversations and get updates and so on. Now, Salesforce is experimenting with yet another feature called Influences feature, which ranks a user importance based on the conversations they are engaged in within the Chatter platform.

To measure an employees worth, all your manager or whoever makes the decisions would have to do is to look up your influencer profile and see how active you are within your organization in terms of leading conversations, engagements, and discussions.
