It is no secret that the internet has evolved from the older arpanet to a giant phenomenon. My 4 year old nephew has his own personal iPod touch that he constantly watches videos on, leading me to believe in concrete terms that the times have changed. The web now in an advanced form (even though still in an evolutionary stage) has leapt beyond what we would have expected 15 years ago. I would not be surprised if everything that we know about the internet is outdated in the next 5 years. Such a rapid transformation of technology around us is not only challenging to keep up with but is also difficult to get used to, which brings us to our main point about Marketing 3.0

The new generation of Marketing with the internet deserves a new name. Its not just social media that is new, but everything else that is making marketing as a discipline literally run on steroids. This is Marketing where one YouTube video can get millions of views in a span of hours and where tweeting, online socializing and Linking In are everyday things.

Marketing 3.0 looks at transformations that are occurring in our world today through technology. It is about how our society is dealing with this rapid change, and what tomorrow could bring for us in terms of Marketing & Technology !
